Take part in East Dunbartonshire's budget consultation
One of the few opportunities residents get to shape council policy is East Dunbartonshire’s annual budget consultation - and it's now open.
This year’s budget consultation survey for 2025-26 has been released, and East Dunbartonshire says it is looking for broad engagement - even more than the 1000 people who responded last year.
As we have a population in the council area of around 110,000, this means that last year fewer than one in 100 people had their voices heard - not a great level of engagement for something so important.
The council hasn’t widely publicised this, so we thought our network might be able to help.
There are lots of questions in the survey that allow you to prioritise issues such as making neighbourhoods more walkable, active travel and school refurbishment, which we know are important to many of you.
Here is the link to the consultation - and please feel free to forward on and share this within your own networks, so the council can get a rounded view of what really matters to a greater number of its residents.
